What to Expect with Avéli Before and After

Let’s face it: Most cellulite treatments have a bad reputation for not working. They make big claims, but when push comes to shove, any “results” are often hard to discern.

Fortunately, however, this may be changing.

A treatment called Avéli is one of the latest options for the treatment of cellulite, and in procedure after procedure, it’s been outshining the competition and providing impressive results. You may have read about it in New York Magazine, Allure, or Marie Claire. Just look at some Avéli before and after photos, and you’ll see that this procedure is well worth the hype.

Below, we’ll discuss what Avéli is, how it works, who it’s good for, and what you can expect from the treatment.

What Is Avéli?

Avéli, from Revelle Aesthetics, is a plastic surgery treatment that targets cellulite dimples on the thighs, buttocks, and elsewhere.

Cellulite affects nearly 80 to 90 percent of women and some men (essentially, it is the thickening of some collagen bands, which anchor certain spots of the skin down, causing the appearance of dimples). Avéli is a treatment that cuts these bands (called septa or septa bands), releasing the tightened collagen and skin.

Who Is a Good Avéli Candidate?

Avéli cellulite reduction is designed for individuals who are bothered by the appearance of cellulite on their buttocks, thighs, or elsewhere. The treatment is particularly effective for those with visible dimples and uneven skin texture, but it is not good for reducing significant skin laxity or loose skin.

Candidates for Avéli are typically at a stable body weight and should be in good overall health, without any underlying medical conditions that could complicate the procedure. During your consultation, we will look at the degree of cellulite you have, your natural skin texture, and your overall body composition to tailor a treatment plan just for you.

What to Expect with Avéli Cellulite Treatment Before and After

Avéli cellulite treatment can be performed with only local anesthesia and usually takes about an hour to complete. Avéli before and after pictures show significantly smoother, flatter skin.

On the day of your procedure, a local anesthetic will be applied to numb the targeted areas, (usually the buttocks and thighs). Once numb, your surgeon will use a specialized handheld device to precisely target and cut the fibrous bands responsible for the dimpled appearance of your skin.

The device is inserted just below the skin through a small incision. A light that is visible through the skin helps guide your surgeon to the areas that need attending. As the bands are cut, the tension on the skin is released, resulting in an instantly smoother surface.

After all necessary bands have been cut and the incisions carefully closed, you will be bandaged and placed in a compression garment before being taken to a recovery room for a short time. Avéli treatments are outpatient procedures, so you can go home on the same day as your procedure.

Avéli Recovery

Every patient treated is different, but for most patients, bruising and swelling are normal reactions to this procedure. Some mild discomfort may accompany these symptoms, but this should be manageable with prescription pain medication, if not over-the-counter options.

You’ll need to wear a compression garment for at least a week following surgery. After about five to seven days, you’ll come into our office for your first follow-up appointment to assess your progress improvement and results.

For most patients, normal healing from Avéli takes about a week. Minimal activities can be resumed after just a few days, but doctors agree it is typically after about one week (sometimes two) that you can return to all normal activities, including most exercise.

Your final results from surgery may take up to 30 days or longer. This is largely due to residual swelling you may experience for an extended time. See Avéli cellulite before and after photos for examples of results. For specific results pictures, be sure to specify “Avéli before and after thighs” or Avéli before and after pictures targeting other parts of the body.

How long does it take to see results from Avéli?

You should see immediate results after your Avéli cellulite treatment. However, due to swelling, your results may be slightly obscured for several weeks. As the swelling goes down, you’ll see more and more of your final outcome.

How much does Avéli cost?

Most Avéli cellulite treatments can be completed in one session. The Avéli cellulite treatment cost will vary depending on the extent of the cellulite and the experience of your surgeon.

Different regions of the country will dictate varied pricing as well. Please call to book a consultation appointment and get an accurate price estimate.
